Lake powell!

Well lets start off with the fact that I am so bored right now I could probably die! Taylor has my car and I am stuck sitting here in self pity listening to Fleetwood Mac on Pandora (it really is such a good station, reminds me of my dad every time!) So I figured I will just tell you about Lake Powell! Fair warning I am giving you my true feelings about this trip.

Well we headed out for our adventure Thursday night, drove till Torrey and stayed in the smallest little cabin ever! It was so darn cute and I loved every minute of it! There is not much else to say about it other than that. It was one small room, one small bed, a small night stand with a lamp, and a heater! Dont believe me? Then you can just see for yourself!

Small bed in a small room

Look how cute and little it is!

Friday Morning we ate at a small cafe and we were on our way! We got to the boat, found the perfect spot, tied up the anchors, and then for the next 7 days just relaxed! and by relax I mean I just hung out off on the side most of the time so I didn't get in anyone's way, tried to avoid all the sexual comments aimed at Taylor and I, and was constantly wiping sweat from my  nose, knee pits, and pretty much anywhere sweat gathers. On a brighter note I did get tan.

Don't get me wrong, there were some fun moments, like trying to catch the mouse that creeped onto our boat! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! The kids all sat and watched the mouse creep up on our mouse trap grab our cheese and scurry off! What the heck! After about an hour of trying to catch that little bugger it scampered to the end of the hall and disappeared and we were all freaked out to walk down the hall which ultimately led to our beds. I also enjoyed the tubing! My elbows were destroyed! After about the 3rd time on the tube my elbows were raw and I had to retire. Major Bummer! I am a little chicken and only like to wakeboard or ski when my dad is pulling me. I just get embarrassed and plus my dad is the most patient person ever and I can fall a billion times and he doesn't get annoyed with me! Granted they did tell me Bruce would be patient, but I was not willing to take that chance! So I just watched my cute hubby ski! He is really good! not to mention super sexy doing it! I may have flashed him while he was skiing once, HA!

Oh how I love this cute guy SO much!
I hate cliff jumping. enough said!

That's hot!

Maybe I am just used to it being Taylor and I, so I have little to no patience with other poeple, but I was so happy to be home! I seriously wanted to kiss our front door when we reached it! It was like a sigh of relief! I am also loving having it back to just us! No one bossing us around or making me feel uncomfortable! I guess I am not as anxious to get back to Northern Utah as I thought! Good thing we still have 2 years down here!

K! Now I will quit complaining and this will be quick! My mom and Dad were down here this weekend and I talked my mom into a craft night! We made these cute wreathes and made sugar cookies! We got the idea from Pinterest which I love with all of my heart!

So cute huh?

Livin on summer!

Can I get a Hallelujah please?! SCHOOL IS OUT!!

So far my summer has been wonderful!! We spent the first few days up in the BC where we enjoyed our families and got to escape the heat for a few days! It was a packed weekend and not once did I get to sleep in so that was a major bummer but its ok! We headed up to Brigham around 9:30 pm when Taylor got off work on thursday night, got to BC around 3 am, had to be out at my dads work to do hours for my scholarship at 7, eye doctors appt at 10, CRASH and sleep for 3 hours, dinner and baseball games. PHEW! See what I mean? no down time (minus that 3 hour nap :)) and that is only day one!!
Day 2- Back to the eye doctor at 8 to have him check to make sure the contacts were sitting on my eyes correctly (they were), then family pictures, then a family reunion with Taylor's family (neither of us knew anyone there really) but it was still fun, about an  hour into it we found Taylor's mom watching Keeping up with the Kardashians, So we joined her (I am obsessed with the Kardashians now days) so the family reunion was an all day event of course, then finally at like 7 I said I was so bored I could literally die so Taylor took me to dinner and to see Madagascar 3, it was pretty good but I still love the first one the most. PHEW, once again NON STOP!!
Day 3- Church starts at 9 (kill me), then we had to be in Salt Lake by 11 so Taylor and My dad could stand in the circle while Kenny was set apart, hang out all day in the SLC with the fam (loved it) got home around 8, and honestly couldnt tell you what happened the rest of that night, I probably slept.... HA.
Day 4- leave BC around 8 so Taylor can be at work by 3.
(sorry no pictures)
All in all crazy weekend, but loved it!

K now onto GIRLS CAMP!!
I know you are probably thinking I am a little too old for girls camp, but this girl is the newest
Laurels Adviser for the St. George 7th ward.
I have been in with the girls for about 3 months now and have loved every minute of it! The girls are so sweet and constantly make me laugh. Girls camp was so awesome! It was so up on Cedar Mountain at Little Thunder and we literally slept in like a box car or a storage container. I don't know what it was but they have the beds stacked 3 high and I was of course on the tippy top and literally thought I was going to roll to my death every night. luckily I didn't. Let me tell you about some of my favorite things
1- The girls getting to know me and seeing my crazy dancing, always laughing side and no longer being sacred of me! THE BEST!
2- Writing down what I could give up in my life that would bring me closer to my heavenly father and letting it go in a balloon. Adios!
3-Solo time: just an hour to be by yourself out in the mountains to pray and ponder and just feel the spirit. I wrote Taylor who I missed SO much a letter with my testimony in it.
4- The three champ cheer, let me teach you! clap-clap WOO clap-clap WOO clap-clap WOO
easy enought? Now you give it a shot, its lots of fun and can lift you up even in your darkest moments.
(I crack myself up)
5-OK lets be honest I loved everything about it and could write for days and days about how great it was!
Emily and Myself! Love her!
This picture was right after I was attacked and bit by the biggest ant I have ever seen! Anna looks especially happy to take this picture!

Everyone

Leaders (the best leaders at the whole camp I might add)

All the girls from the St. George East Stake singing to the stake president! It was so pretty and all their hard work paid off
getting ready to let go of the balloons! (goodbye selfishness and contention)
Jump to the 25th of June and that brings us to Aladdin out at Tuacahn! Loved it! Taylor got 2 free tickets from work so of course I was the only date he could get ;) There were a lot of songs I didn't know but still enjoyed it. Then on Tuesday I got blind sided by the flu! Let me start off with the fact that I literally never get sick! After a nice long nap I woke up and felt horrible.I then spent the next 3 days in the nearest bathroom to me! Ask me any detail about my bathroom or the bathroom at work and I can tell ya ALL about it! Miserable! Thursday night (still sick and wearing basketball shorts) we went to Tuacahn once again, this time to see Hairspray. I don't know if it was because I was sick or because I didn't know the songs but I hated every minute of it. I was ready to leave by about "Good morning Baltimore!"
This is pretty much all I have to say about it: BOOO!!

Rockin basketball shorts at Tuacahn and yes we did got LOTS of dirty looks! How dare we show up dress liked that?! At least I didn't throw up, because that is what  I felt like doing the whole time!

dear creeper in the back, thank you for ruining our picture, yours truly! also note that I look pretty darn good for how bad I felt!
And the very best part of the summer is in T minus 1 week from today!
LAKE POWELL!
we leave on Thursday and are going to stay in Torrey (people often spell my name this way) in a little cabin and then drive the rest of the way Friday morning!
Fun Fact: last year on the way to Lake Powell is when Taylor and I decided we did in fact want to get married and chose our date. Precious!

We are having a busy summer but are loving every minute of it! We wouldn't want it any other way!
Sorry for such a long post, I am horrible at posting so when I finally do its way too long! So if you made it to here, congrats to you and imagine me giving you the most enthusiastic 3 champ cheer you ever did hear!
also enjoy that rhyme! :)

Still can't believe it

There are so many things in my life right now that boggle my mind!
First off I am in the dental hygiene program and working on patients!
It freaks me out like you would not believe!
I have to work on complete strangers because I have no family down here to work on.
good thing St. George is full of retired people that have nothing better to do!
(side note speaking of old people, literally 90% of the people in my ward are over the age of 85! I wish you could all see the cute lady who leads the music in Relief Society! She knows the words to literally every hymn and gets up there with her arms just a waving and sings with so much enthusiasm! its cute)

anywho back to school....
So while it is stressful as it is, we have to find patients that meet certain requirements! WTF?!
how the heck am I supposed to find these people?
But wanna know a secret?
good!
My mom is so sweet and is taking off pretty much a whole week of work just to come down and be my patient! I AM SO EXCITED! I don't think she realizes what she got herself into, but its too late now for her to back out because she has agreed to it and I would freak out if she bailed!

Next Item of business that boggles my mind
I'm married!
Wait? What? Married?
exactly the thoughts that run through my head still! granted its only been like a month and a half! But I love it! I love cuddling up to him every night and putting my freezing cold toes all wrapped up in his legs so he can warm them up! I love that as soon as my alarm goes off in the morning he gives me a kiss and rolls right back over and zonks out. I love! love! LOVE not saying goodbye at night! I even convinced him to get gym passes with me and some mornings we get up way earlier than either of us wanna be and go work out before class! He taught me to play Nazi zombies, which by the way is super fun and very addicting! Pretty much what I am getting at is that I am still head over heels in love and can't get enough of him!
Here are a few pics from out wedding day!
